Abstract |
Copper deficiency is one of the most common mineral deficiencies recorded in UK cattle. This paper reviews the diagnosis of copper responsive disorders in cattle, focusing primarily on the disease in adult cows. It concludes that we do not have effective tools for accurately diagnosing copper deficiency, and that only by using a combination of tests in addition to supplementation trials can we effectively diagnose copper-responsive disorders. |
