About us

Massey University's beef research team is currently New Zealand's leading beef research group. Beef research is led by Professor Steve Morris and Dr Rebecca Hickson, who team up with relevant experts to deliver science, extension and education in all areas of beef cattle production. With access to Massey University's three sheep and beef cattle properties ( Tuapaka and Keebles in Palmerston North and Riverside in Masterton), and supported by the International Sheep Research Centre , the Al Rae Centre for Animal Breeding and Genetics, Massey University Vet School , and Massey University's extensive network of experts in agriculture and related fields, the beef research team can deliver comprehensive research projects in areas relevant to industry.

The team deliver many presentations to industry each year, disseminating current and past research findings and on topics relevant to the particular group.
